The singer/songwriter, who earlier this year, daringly released ‘Nigeria’s first openly queer album’ has once again, given the queer community some good music with lyrics that they can relate to.
Earlier this year, the singer released their 12 track queer-themed debut album titled “E Be Like Say Dem Swear For Me”.
Announcing the release of their 7 track EP on Instagram titled “Songs from the Closet”, the 25-year old non-binary musician popularly known as YBNL princess wrote:
“Randomly woke up in the middle of the night and decided to upload some of my unreleased songs as a playlist/ep thingy because idk what to do with them”.
Even though living authentically and being open about their sexuality is something that the musician is particularly proud of, they have also mentioned that the decision have affected them negatively.
“Coming out of the closet and making queer music in Nigeria is risky, you’ll end up losing fans, your financial stability or your life” they wrote.
