Nigerian actor Charles Awurum says God will punish gays and Bobrisky
In Nigeria, homosexuals are often seen as evil and the issue is mostly used by many to score cheap popularity at the detriment of the LGBTIQ community who often suffer many forms of human rights violations on a daily basis.

Popular Nollywood comic actor Charles Awurum, is a typical example of this as he just joined the list of homophobic Nollywood actors who have openly condemned homosexuality.
Recently, the actor went on social media to spew hateful things about homosexuals, completely displaying his ignorance on the issue.
In a recent video shared with his thousands of followers on Instagram the actor condemned Bobrisky for appearing feminine, bleaching, and those who offered her a film role.
It can be recalled that Bobrisky who now identifies as a transgender, recently featured in a soon-to-be released film titled ‘Bobrisky In Love’ which she has been promoting on Instagram.
Speaking mostly in pidgin, the actor who sounded really bitter and pained, went on to accuse Bobrisky of recruiting other young men into homosexuality.
But sadly, what Awurum and many others alike completely fails to understand is that, homosexuality isn’t what people choose, it’s simply a sexual orientation, and as such, cannot be altered, which means that no one can turn a person gay. A gay person is a gay person all the way.
