Nigerian gay activist Edafe Okporo releases short film on homophobia
U.S.-based Nigerian LGBT rights activist Edafe Okporo has launched a short film about homophobia.
The film which was released 2 days ago is part of Okporo’s anti-online bullying hashtag that he started to commemorate the day he landed in the United States as an asylum seeker.
Through the film, Okporo highlights how homophobia transcends geographical barriers and its overall effect on the mental health of an LGBTIQ+ person.
