Voices for Change, Nigeria (V4C) with support from UKAID now offers a platform that allows for Nigerians to register and take part in its FREE online gender studies focused courses.
Voices for Change is a UKAID funded program working to strengthen the enabling environment for gender equality in Nigeria.
Voices for change launched its platform ‘genderhub.org’ which offers a full range of both free and paid courses to individuals particularly Nigerians who are interested in learning about everything gender.
Gender Hub aims to strengthen the cadre of gender expertise and its application in Nigeria. It will also promote a ‘culture of evidence’ and will go further to build local capacity to generate and apply evidence on issues relating to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
This initiative is particularly important and highly needed in Nigeria, especially as most Nigerians are lacking the necessary understanding concerning what it truly means to be a man or a woman. This gap in knowledge has led to dangerous gender stereotyping and has also assisted in increasing the many misconceptions that people nurture about gender and sexuality.
Taking part in one of gender hub’s free e-learning programs/courses is sure to expand one’s knowledge beyond the many lies and misconceptions that one has been exposed to over time about gender and its constructed expectations by the society.
The program’s interface is flexible and easy to navigate, and so there is no special or technical requirement. This means that anyone can register and take part in any of its courses, provided one understands English Language and can make use of a computer even with limited skills.
At the end of each e-learning course/program, one will get a verified official certificate duly signed by the organizers which will also come with an official UKAID seal.
There is more to what you think you know about gender. So why not jump to this opportunity and gain some extra knowledge, all for FREE.
