Nigeria made the top five position, as a lot of Nigerians are busy trolling the internet on google everyday searching the terms. “gay sex pics” and “anal sex pics.”
Meanwhile, the results of a recent Pew Research Center poll on LGBT acceptance around the globe showed that Nigeria is one of the world’s most brutally LGBT intolerant societies.
In Nigeria, lawmakers recently passed an anti-gay bill that seeks to not only criminalize homosexuality but silence activists, LGBT organizations and groups as well.
Only 1 percent of the population openly said that homosexuality should be accepted by the society.
This exposes the hypocritical nature of the country toward the issue of homosexuality, and as well goes a long way to show that a whole lot of people in the country who claim to condemn homosexuality may actually be closeted homosexuals themselves living either in denial or hiding because of fear.
