Alimi said in a tweet that this attitude is denying countless young Nigerian talents employment.
Increasingly, financial institutions in Nigeria continue to conduct #HIV test on potential staff without consent thereby denying countless young talented Nigerians employment. In a country where unemployment is as high as 60% and world where HIV doesn’t kill anymore, why this?

The activist said he had listened to several worrisome tales of HIV discrimination in the last four months about banks and several Nigerian companies who were into this practice despite the Nigerian Law that is against HIV discrimination.
In the last 4months, I have listened to tales of HIV discrimination in Nigeria as this is considering there is a law against this. Why are banks and other companies doing this in Nigeria and getting away with it? What has HIV got to do with doing your work in a bank?

In a follow-up tweet, Bisi stated that living with HIV does not affect one’s ability to deliver on their assigned roles at any organization.
“What has HIV got to do with doing your work in a bank?” He wrote.
He also noted that until Nigerians are ready to build an accountable structure in the country, they would not cease to run the country anyhow.
“You all can compliant about how bad Nigeria is, but until we build a structure of accountability that includes legal and political accountability we will continue to run the country like a jungle.”
