Charles who hails from Benin, detailed an encounter he had with fellow writers concerning the behaviors of Nigerians toward the issue of anal sex and homosexuality.

A while back in Abuja, I was having drinks with a couple of prominent young writers in a pub in Abuja and amongst other interesting topics we discussed that night, the conversation somehow drifted to the hypocrisy of Nigerians, especially when it relates to anal sex.
One of the writers said: ‘ Charles, Nigerians are great hypocrites and shield everything with religion, with their Christian and Muslim God. Meanwhile, the kind of atrocities they commit in private which this same God they claim to serve watches, would make you cringe and give up on religion. For example, let’s take this anti-gay law they passed here in Nigeria. The moralists who scream to high heavens about that law being the best ever in Nigeria are the same bastards engaging in secret anal trysts in this country’

‘No, true. Charles, I’m serious. It’s true. Let me tell you something which will shock you. One of my relatives is a medical doctor who works in a posh hospital in Abuja. At the height of the anti-same sex bill, he kept laughing and would shout ‘Hypocrites’ each time the argument came up. So one day, I had to ask him why he was that vehement, which I found fantastic to my own position though. You know what he told me? He said that in his hospital alone, he knows the WEEKLY cases of wives (hear me o, wives not girlfriends) who come for treatment for anal fissures or anal tear in his hospital. He says many Christian and Muslim wives are engaged in anal sex with their spouses. He wasn’t even talking about girlfriends and boyfriends o. WIVES! He said there was one lady who was a recurring patient in his hospital that he had to call her one day to tell her ‘Madam, please if this happens again, I’m afraid you will be using pampers soon’. He said the woman wept and said ‘it’s my husband o. That’s the only way he enjoys sex and he begs me for it. What can I do?’ Charles, do you hear?’
He continued ‘ When many hypocrites like those are tearing the anuses of their wives and when many wives too are agreeing to be screwed in the ass by their husbands or boyfriends, isn’t it stupidly ironical that it’s this same kind of people who won’t allow gays live their lives in peace in Nigeria but would be supporting the criminalization of gay sex? You know what else the doctor told me? He said the most pathetic thing with the kind of wives he has been treating with those anal problems us that they don’t even have an idea that there is a technique to have anal sex, if you must. What most married couples do is that they watch blue films with anal sex scenes and then the husband would say ‘Oya o. Make we do.’ The wife would roll over and give her ass. They believe that what was seen on the screen is as simple as it looked. They don’t have an idea that professional lubricants have been used before filming such scenes. So my doctor friend said, by default, he has turned to a sex therapist adviser too to most of those wives. He says he tells them to research more with their husbands if they have to do it and warns them about petroleum jelly not being enough as a lubricant’

I brought this topic up today because I came across an article written by a ‘Christian Wife’ pleading with her Pastor to advice her husband on his insistence on anal sex in their marriage. She says her husband is not unfaithful and is straight but she is tired of the anal sex demands and can’t stand it anymore.
And then I remembered this conversation I had with the writers.
First of all God created in man and woman many erotic zones within their bodies so as to be able to enjoy the flesh as much as feeling the spirit within us. However, foremost one must educated one’s self on such things. As far as anal sex is concern in remote and uncivilized locations of the world, there might not have apparatuses such as to deuce or give one’s self enema with hot water rubber bottles or bottled enema mineral oil, to first thoroughly clean out the anal cavity of any fecal matter. One must never enter the anal cavity when there is fecal matter within it.
One must use slippery lubricants inserted into the anal cavity first and applied to the introducing phallus. If this is the first time, one must not force enter, but slowly enter until the recipient feels less pain and comfortable. I have to admit, that just like virgins on their first time it hurts and one wants it out immediately to get rid of the pain. However there are numbing lubricants that can be used for those that agreed to go through with it.
I heard say that after the initial pain is endured, the sexual pleasure is most enjoyable and mostly desirable, than the norm. This is something that one has to get use to doing with practice and never be forced to do it as it might cause a tare within the circumference of the anal cavity. Another thing that one has to notice is that there are people who have hemorrhoids, which are veins within the walls of the anal cavity, that become irritated through fecal matter constipation. This should be noted, as one can profusely bleed from one these if not taken in consideration.
Religion and naturalist would argue against this and would say that God did not make that part of the body to be use in that way. However, we know through the Karma Sutra that body parts have many sexual functions and not just those that the simple minded would like one to believe. Everything in the flesh is located purposely to be used safely and enjoyably. What makes the recipient of initial anal sex be more receptive to the act is the positive and romantic emotional feelings attached to the relationship.
In today’s world I would recommend everyone to initially use a condom and for the recipient not to let an over size in girth and length phallus enter if one has never done this before or if one bodily size is smaller than one’s sexual partner, period. This is my educated opinion as an elder.
